The Complexity of Frog Bladders

You probably haven’t given much thought to the workings of amphibian bladders, but consider this:  scientists have found that the bladders of some frogs and toads can slowly grow around foreign objects within the animal’s body, absorbing and eventually peeing out the object.  It’s a neat evolutionary trick, and you can read about the findings here.
