School for Crows

Corvids, or members of the crow family, have long been known to be adept at tool usage.  New Caledonian Crows in particular are highly skilled- in fact, they “make the most complex tools of any animal yet studied apart from humans.”  Researchers have observed the parent crows taking juveniles to tool-usage sites in order to train them.  Get the whole story here.
